GOD WILL WORK WITH YOU, NOT FOR YOU

    I believe it’s a common misunderstanding or misinterpretation for many Christians today especially to those who lost their faith, trust or belief in GOD, that he (God) will work WITH us and not FOR us.

When we get into big-big trouble and we pray HARD! Ask for help or rescue and despite of that very rigid concentration of praying we still hit the wall meaning we fail to overcome the challenges is this mean that he(GOD) didn’t hear us?

Its funny to know that some people just want to pray for a Lamborghini or a Lancer Evolution VIII and they are expecting that tomorrow morning this cars will be in their garage (if they have one) I know this kind of example is kind a ridiculous but I know you can get what I mean.

Some people pray to pass on exam without studying

Some people pray to earn hundred thousand of dollars without doing any job, business or investment

Some people want to be love without learning to love first

I hope we do not confuse our self the difference of GOD to the Genie from Aladdin’s lamp because what I can see most Christians today look God as a Genie and the thing is it will not work that way so they think God is just like a fairy tales so what they do? They withdraw their faith and beliefs.

I don’t want to go too far but my message here is this. Please be reminded that you, all of us including all the living things and God are one. Achievement is not only the job of your mind or your physical body only, both of them are necessary, same to you and God its not only you or him, BOTH of you will face the challenges and enjoy the moments in life its not a isolation play but its more on side by side game plan.

Time Management teach us so little about using the COMPAS

(Inspired by First thing first of Stephen Covey)

    Everybody has an idea what Time Management is… everybody try it and failed doing it while some people tried it and failed but they stand-up and tried again until they get use on it. But I know that all of us been in a situation or still in a situation where we accomplish lots of task, duties or responsibilities but in the end of the day we felt incomplete and we don’t know why…

 You do a great job by doing your boss 5 year plan but feel guilty because you miss a lot of spending quality time to your daughter.

  In the end of the day you feel so exhausted by doing the responsibilities that your supervisor’s assigned to you but your getting to realize day by day that what your doing right now moves you away to the man you want to be.

 They say you’re successful but how come a so called successful man can’t do what he want to do in life? Like vacation, far away to the supplier’s phone calls and just have an uninterrupted sleep at night?

 Your situation maybe almost likes or exactly what I mentioned above and the reason WHY this happen is because we overlook the importance of the COMPASS in our life. COMPASS is important just how important TIME in our life, there is no competition between them, they go hand on hand and they must be in balance and if not the result will be unwanted. Doing things fast or in a short period of time is nice! but imagine what if what you’re doing is not the task you need to do to produce the result you want?

 I thought before COMPASS is for traveling or camping tools only and I just know now that it’s a big help to use this tool for improving the quality of life.

 A great example from Stephen Covey about Chicago and Detroit, you move fast and have a strong determination to be in Detroit but the thing is the map your following is the map going to Chicago. Imagine that! Your speed and determination to be there is not bad, but the thing is your desire and fastness will not help you to reach Detroit because you have the wrong map.

 Techniques, gadgets and planning tools really improves today but this things will not bring satisfaction to us if we don’t know what we really want to accomplish and from here we need to check our COMPASS, we need to check it out if the street where walking thru will lead us to the Detroit and not in other place.

KEEP THE MAIN THING THE MAIN THING

We are condition that efficiency is the way to go, by doing things faster or meeting the deadline is the way to do the job. So people both the idea of cramming, buying fast tools and adapting the quick fix solutions and just going to find out in the end of the day that you lean your ladder in a wrong wall.

Effectiveness brings us to satisfaction and that is the essence of using the COMPASS. Of course efficiency is needed but it should not be used alone TIME and COMPASS is two to tango.

Choose to be KIND rather than being RIGHT

 

The war of states against states, races versus races the never ending debates of religions…

 

What they are trying to prove?

 

That they are RIGHT!!!

 

Many lives, efforts and wealth that been sacrificed in order to prove that they are RIGHT, but why this people want to prove that they are the RIGHT one?

 

To achieve PEACE? Where is the peace after war?

 

To achieve ENLIGHTENMENT? Where is ENLIGHTENMENT after the debates?

 

To achieve EQUALITY? Where is the EQUALITY after the long road of rallies?

 

To achieve FREEDOM? Where is the MORALITY after fighting for FREEDOM?

 

Of course I believe there is a time in life that we need to fight fire against fire but I think that is only SOMETIMES or might be good if we don’t choose that option anymore.

 

I think being kind is the starting evolution of every good –thing that we want to have in our planet. We are condition by our society that if you become KIND, people in this world will just walk over your head or by pass you.  We frame our mind that there is no POWER in KINDNESS, there is no IMPACT to change or to move other person.

 

Is that true? If just Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Theresa and Jose Rizal can rise up from their grave and disagree to that… I believe they will.

 

KINDNESS is more effective than RIGHTEOUNESS if we want synergy, peace and love to our life.

 

Yes I agree that its easy to say than done, even myself have own difficulties on following this principle because like most of the people I was also condition by the old beliefs of you must FIGHT FOR RIGHT rather than give LOVE to those whom are not in the RIGHT TRACK. Still we must give it a try, remember that everything start to nothing and consistency will strengthen our every act until it became incurable habit.

 

We all have our own favorite story of heroes who fought for peace and good then they have what they wanted but it seems that its very temporary and easy to forget and hard to remember what they’ve done before. While those who use KINDNESS to achieve peace, freedom and morality like Gandhi, Mother Theresa and Jose Rizal their heroism, love and sacrifice is like a work of art that will be forever marked in our heart.

KNOWLEDGE IS NOT POWER!!!

 

A shocking truth! It is like way back century when we discover that the world is not flat but it is round and when human beings landed the moon at the first time the HOW? HOW? HOW? And the WHY? WHY? WHY? Question will come like rain and will flooded the whole nation.

 

It will really turn your life around after hearing those kind of information because most of the time it’s hard to accept the reality.

 

Like what most people say and believe in some ways that KNOWLEDGE IS POWER but excuse me madam and sirs if I say that this is UNTRUE… if you want to know why just read on…

 

I know it feels hard and painful to hear that after all this years dedicating your self to go to school, read several books, trying to ingrain tons of information in your brain and work hard to top that exams will not give you power.

 

Em I trying to say that going to school, reading those historical and best selling books, topping those exams and mastering that formula is NOT POWER?

 

YES IT’S NOT YET POWER!

 

First of all what is the meaning of POWER?

 

If I will read the meaning of POWER from my Pocket Oxford Dictionary in my computer it says like this

 

Power —n. 1 ability to DO or ACT.

 

It refers to action and doing, the capability of moving or changing something!

 

You will not reach your target weight-loss if you just sit down on couch and read article of HOW TO LOSE WEIGHT or reading THE JOURNEY OF BOLBBY BOY FROM 300lbs to 95lbs. Reading those article will just give you information of how, what, when etc. but if you don’t do the things you must do to lose weight like dieting, cardio in the morning and taking proper rest those information will be just like that, useless and you will not lose any weight.

 

Try to observed in elections, people who are running for position in the government they know a lot of things how to decrease unemployment, wipe-out corruption and empower the economy but as what everybody knows most of this people just talk the talk but never walk the walk and take note of this most of them are those who finished college, do the masteral, doctoral, top notch of every exams you know but where is the result?

And Tom Cruise screams SHOW ME THE MONEY!

 

May I quote Nap Hill said that it is more appropriate to say that KNOWLEDGE IS A POTENTIAL POWER. Knowledge will only become power when it is organized into definite plan of ACTION and directed to definite end. (end of quote) But KNOWLEDGE alone is inappropriate to say that is POWER because It can’t change any thing without mixing our ability to act.

 

If really knowledge is power why most of the teacher in our university are those who don’t achieve much in life on their retirement age like owning a big house, luxurious car and wealth? Why most of them still live their life from pay-check to pay-check? Because they have the mineral but they don’t ACT to process it so that it will become gold. This is not only applicable to the teacher but can be applicable to the accountants, economist etc.

 

I also buy what Nap Hill said about education as per him the real meaning of education is not necessarily finishing degree, education in the Latin word “educo” means to educe, draw out, to develop within. For me I figure out that Education is more actually a DIY (Do it Yourself), responsibility or a commitment to your self to grow and to build something that you can use when you need it.

 

Let me finish this article by sharing to you what our Reverent Father said in our College graduation and he said like this

 

“Education will not end in graduation day, because Education is a lifetime undertaking, thank you and happy graduation day”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Employee is the modern name of Slave

 

It’s a nice feeling when you have a decent job today; after all of the lay-offs and recession issue you feel that you stand-out on the crowd.

 

Technically I consider my self-jobless before after I graduate in college there is no enough opportunity for I.T people like me way back 2004, if ever there are hiring jobs for I.T they require many years of experience on that field so I have no much choice on that time but to find another kind of job even its not connected to my course what is important for me on that time is a job that has a enough amount of salary that can pay my bills. I’m living with my parents back then but as a graduated student I am pushing my self to become responsible and have contribution in our house at least I pay the water and cable bills. I been in 4 companies in Philippines, I never become contend to the company that I been working before, the number one reason is that the salary is not enough and I don’t enjoy my job. I was dreaming before that someday I will have the opportunity to work in a big company that pay’s well and thanks God my prayers has been answered and my imagination was manifested like what they said

 

What you think, so shall become (something like this)

 

Now I am working here in abroad on the largest Dairy Company here in Middle East as a Factory Manager’s Secretary, I can say that they pay me a good salary my job is not that complicated, less pressure and my colleagues is very friendly and we have a good relationship “but” there is a big BUT… but I am away to my family, I only have the chance to see them for 32 days in every year and sometimes it depends to the situation they may pull me out in the middle of my vacation if there are any issue in man-power. I had a hard time when I miss my family and sometimes I just want to resign and go back to Philippines and find another job or put-up a business but that decision is only driven by emotions I know that we will not going to be happy if our plate is empty and as of now I don’t have enough savings or plan to what kind of business or job I will replace if ever I resign. This fact really makes me think a lot and also motivate me to put-up a goal and start doing it right now.

 

I remember what Anthony Robbins said on his book on “Awakening the Giant within” about problem solving he said that when there is a problem try the three question that he gave, I only do the first step which is compare my situation before and today, so I did, and It was interesting what I find out, I find out that what really bothers me is not just being away to my love ones but the main issue here is that I don’t have enough control in my life that’s why I figure out that

 

Employee is the modern name of Slave

 

How did I say that? Well to all employee like me the question is do I need to elaborate about that?

 

Well anyway here we go…

 

In laymen’s term if you are employee the company owns you, they are the one who will decide until when you will work, when you must take a rest, when you will take your vacation to be with your love ones (sometimes they don’t gave you), they are the one who will say if your good or bad even though you really do a good job and for them you mess-up you cant do anything but just to agree on what they say, If you exceed doing their requirements they will still gave you the same salary but if you don’t they may decrease your salary or else terminate you… and this is the most touching moment of being an employee, assuming that you been a good boy for a long time plus you remain loyal with them and suddenly you need to resign because of health issue or personal problem what I most see on the old fellows is that they are going to be paid by an amount of money that you cannot even buy a brand new Toyota corolla. Almost more than half of their life they spent on their job and they only got that? Ridiculous!

 

Well I don’t know if I am being exaggerated here but to all employees like me I believe you can feel my drift.

 

There is nothing wrong if your are an employee today but what I am trying to say here is that being an Employee is not a advisable long term source of income if you make this as your source of income for a long run chances are you will neglect your real life and later on you will be force to make your job as your life.

 

I compare my situation before and today, before I ask my self where I can get the money to buy a brand new laptap, cellphone, Nikon camera, branded cloths etc. but now I ask my self if I will buy that or not,… money is not that much issue for me today, its nice to hear that but there is only one problem

 

I am not happy…

 

You can buy the latest equipment in the market but what is the sense of that if you’re not with your love ones?

 

People who work hard even its local or abroad, laborer or administrative position whether you’re a gasoline guy, janitor, General Manager or CEO your still a slave some one are dictating you (that’s why there is a high paying slaves.)

 

I think they just modernize the name “slave” to “employee” to attract people to let their life to be driven by others in terms of financial and personal growth.

 

Well this is just me.

Sometimes your love-one is the greatest obstacle to reach your dream

 

It’s really hard to face the truth that sometimes the people you’re expecting to back you up in times of hardship and despair will not be there as what you expected, instead they will become the biggest obstacle that will stop you to reach your desired destination in life.

 

They may be you parents

You’re so called close friends

The choir-mate in church

Your fellow countrymen

Or maybe your spouse

 

But the history already shows us in many-many ways and in many-many times that what the mediocrities opinion are just an opinion and not actually the truth or will dictate the result.

 

Before they said that it is crazy idea that man can reach the moon but now who is crazy if someone will tell that this is impossible?

 

I don’t want to talk about the people who break the negative thinking of impossibility, instead I want to discuss a little bit to the NAYERS and to the people who BOO this great people on their early days.

 

I want to mention those people who say it is IMPOSSIBLE for Manny Pacquiao to win over Oscar Delahoya on Dream Match in Las Vegas last December 7, 2008 which until now there are a lot of people cannot accept the truth and still commenting that the fight is fixed and the purpose of the fight is just to make OLDH become a rich man

 

I want to mention the people who think it is impossible that a pure Filipino I mean pure Filipino not 50/50 race will become a popular and celebrated rockstar in the whole world, yes it is hard to believe not until an Arnel Pineda came in to the lime light of Journey band.

 

To all people who said

 

NO!

 

 YOU CANNOT!

 

This people who said IT IS IMPOSSIBLE or NO CHANCE! And gave us a lot of scientific analysis, theory and analogy why they are correct and we are wrong

 

And then

 

The JUDGMENT DAY comes and the verdict says…

 

IT IS POSSIBLE!!!

THERES ALWAYS A CHANCE!!!

 

AND YES THE BELIEVERS THAT IT IS POSSIBLE WON!!!

 

This NAYERS and HATERS slapped an awakening truth to their face and they fell down to their seats after seeing and hearing the result that they are WRONG!!! ABSOLUTELY WRONG!!!

 

While the Believers of HOPE are celebrating and crying because of tremendous joy and happiness they felt

 

Then after we prove that we are correct

 

What we will do next to this people who mock our faith on the beginning?

 

Do we need to repay them with hatred or revenge?

 

Even they are your parent, spouse, close friend or countrymen?

 

Of course not, even they are just a forumer on your favorite website we should not repay by mock or any act of violence and disrespect.

 

 

But Why?

 

Because the WALL will still remain and continuously accomplish his purpose

 

And what purpose is that?

 

To SEPARATE us to each other!

 

The Victory should not produce hatred, or else, nobody wins

 

We just turn the table around but the cards that are in the table are same.

 

Lets aim for PEACE and FORGIVENESS! Proving who’s RIGHT and WRONG or even who’s the WINNER and the LOSER will not solve this long time goal that our Beauty Queens always wish, which is…

 

WORLD PEACE!

 

This motto or saying will be just as that… if we will not do our part, not only me, you or the other fellow beside you who must do the act but all of us need the cooperation to do something for changing our world at least a bit.

 

NOBODY DOES ALONE!

To PEACE and UNITY

 

And yes we might think this is just his smoky agenda to become a politician someday and some of us doubt his ability to become a good politician and I say WHY NOT? GIVE HIM A CHANCE like what kind of opportunity they gave to him on the fight for OLDH.

It is sad to know or should I use the word SHOCKING to know that sometimes your own right hand will accidentally hit your left hand by a hammer while hitting the nail or our teeth just bite our tongue and if this happen what we will do?

 

Are we going to carry the hammer with your left hand and hit your right hand to get even?

 

Or are you going to the dentist and ask him to remove the whole set of your teeth in order to get even to the tongue?

 

Of course not that will be absurd!

 

That’s why hatred cannot be eased by hatred or war cannot be stop by another war it will only damaged the body until it will become totally destroyed.

 

By giving FORGIVENESS and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE is the correct response to all people whether they sailed with us or against us

 

…and if we can do this, PEACE can be achieved.
