When we hear The Man of God the ideas that might come to your mind are
And the list may go on…
What the Man of God would be like? You will agree that he is kind, patient, understanding, not easily angered, giver, believer and does not support evil deeds.
So you must also agree that the Man of God is the Man of Love because the characters that I’ve said are all available in the meaning of love if we will read I Corinthians 13:4-8 it said like this …
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails.”
I observe that almost all of the Christian religion are comparing their selves to other religions, in order to back-up their integrity and truthfullness so that they can convince their followers or visitors that they are the one. The one that people should be joining with in order to received the salvation of God.
Because of this people has a less time to practice Love instead they focus more on “comparing”, finding the loop holes of other religions and the worst of this is being JUDEMENTAL. Today there are what I call the religuouse wars and the root-cause of this is because of the question who’s “God is true?” You cannot disregard the fact that when we do debates even this is official or unofficial we do not promote love or enlightenment instead we nurture resentment. Some might say it depends to a person how he looks at it but come on! once you engaged to a debate you cannot disregard the fact that resentment is there, you want to prove that your oponnent is wrong and you are right, after all I don’t disagree on engaging to any debates what I want to point out is that most all of religion today focus them self on comparing, judging and simply trying to prove that they are right!
To those people who are too busy on comparing the religions from other religions I asked you to pause for a while and asked this question to your self.
“What is the status of my religiouse or spiritual life?”
Are you doing what God really wants you to do? Anyway what God wants us to do? In Christian life Jesus said in Matthew 22:36-40 KJV (when being asked by his follower)
“Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?”
Jesus replied, You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.
A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”
Do we Love God?
“Yes of course”
You may say that because that’s why you spread the word of God and try to convert many people as much as possible, but how about the second commandment? Do you love your neigbhor? Or your fellowmen?
If not, remember what Jesus said “A second is equally important” and that second commandment is Love your neighbor as yourself.
I agree on the purpose of deepening our biblical knowledge and share this to others or convincing others to listen in our doctrines but we must not confuse our selves on being dominating from being cultivating.
Jesus said Love God, Love your neigbhor as yourself then the entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.
If we will spread the word of God, make it sure you do it with love and like what Johann Wolfgang von Goethe said “Love does not dominate; it cultivates.” Word of God must be like nourshing to others people soul, it helps people to change and grow for the better. Domination is opposite, its purpose is to govern others set of beliefs or convert it by force just for over night, like what is written on I Corthian 13:4-8 “Love is Patient, Love is kind” we must give other people time to digest from what they heard from our doctrines (that we believe) and be kind to their point of views. Its also written that Love is not boast and self-seeking, even how sure we are to what we know, still we must prevent on being boastful or judgemental, as what I said being Patient and Kind are the ingredients of love and doing your biblical missionary without love will be useless because it is not whats the Gods will because GOD demands you to LOVE.
Yes he wants your officemates, family, wife, son, dauther or grand parents to received salvation but God want to be accepted because they love him and not because they are just required to accept him.
If there is such thing a failure of any religion I say that is the lack of time to spend for love.
Love is not emotion it is Action that’s why if you going to analyzed Jesus wordings when he said “You must LOVE God” and “LOVE your neighbor” its like “Worship God” or “Believe on God” Worshipping and believing God must not be a random act it must be consistent. In Love we must focus our attention because Jesus didn’t said Worship or just believe on God, Jesus didn’t said deliberately force your fellow men to convert and judge them if they refuse. Jesus said LOVE them because that’s all of us need. Worship without love is empty how matter big your church is or how large your population number is. Everything is connected to love, that’s why we want to live, its either we love our selves or we want to live for someone else and some are both.
Again Jesus said “Love God” which I believe that’s everybody already doing, but he also said “Love your neighbor (he means love your fellowmen)” and when he said that he means no exception! He didn’t say love only your fellow religious members and mock other religions, he didn’t say love only your country men and dismiss other nationality, he didn’t say love only the holy (if there is such a person) and hate the sinner. What Jesus said is LOVE your neighbor PERIOD! No exception and no categories just Love. Before he said the second commandment he said “A second is equally important” and Jesus means both must be accomplished.
Just like John Lennon said “All you need is love”
Love you all
